For the writer perhaps most readily identifiable with Irish literature, it's a bit of a surprise that James Joyce is buried in Zurich. In 1941 the self-exiled Joyce, who had left Ireland in 1902 because of political turmoil, died after undergoing ulcer surgery in Switzerland and was quickly buried in the Fluntern Cemetery. Though Joyce's wife Nora tried to move her husband's body to Ireland after the burial, the Irish government denied the request.
Anyone hoping that 2023 will bring a tour from U2, which last hit the road in 2019, may be in for some disappointment. Drummer Larry Mullen Jr. says in a new interview that if U2 did tour next year, it would be without him, as he faces surgery that he expects to take him out of commission for a while.
Mullen was interviewed, along with the other three members, by the Washington Post for a band profile tied to the quartet’s acceptance of a lifetime achievement award at the Kennedy Center Honors this weekend.

In the latter parts of 2018, Nigerian rapper, Olamide Adedeji also known as Olamide Badoo, picked a number of talented artists and marketed them with his record label, YBNL - springboard for artists like Lil Kesh and Adekunle Gold. Some of those artists were social media sensations, Picazo Rhap and Yomi Blaize alongside Fireboy DML and Lyta. This came after the affiliation with rapper, Davolee. The artists – asides Davolee – all made the collaboration album, YBNL Mafia released by the label in December 2018.

An Australian musician proposed to his high-school sweetheart in a movie theater after screening a parody of the hit song “Rude.” In the video, the man asks her father, repeatedly, for permission to marry her.
As Liam Cooper writes in the YouTube video description, the spoof started playing on the big screen after the trailers while he and his girlfriend Amy Smith “were on a seemingly normal date with her sister and brother-in-law.
